In 2015, Nepal would suffer one of the worst catastrophes in its recent history. A 7.8 earthquake occurred 29 kilometers southeast of Lamjung. Kathmandu, the country's capital, was hit hard by the earthquake.
Seven years later, Nepali people continue to make efforts to recover, but the pandemic and the war in Ukraine have worsened the situation of a mainly agricultural and tourist country.
